Steps to going live with Workforce Management

After your training, the next step will be going live with workforce management in Nory. In order to do this, there are a few things you will need to work through and ensure are set up correctly.

Review & Set Employee Permissions

Please review and update all employee profiles

Personal info tab

  • Ensure all personal details are correct

Availability tab

  • Ensure any recurring unavailability is logged

Role tab

  • Ensure employee has access to the correct locations

  • Ensure employee positions are correct and add any additional roles as needed

  • If using the Kiosk to clock in, generate a Unique Pin

  • Select the correct permission level

  • Toggle on/off any permissions as relevant for each employee

For employees who only need to view their schedule, keep them as “Employees” with no additional permissions.

For those who need access to features like Inventory or Stock Counts configure the appropriate permissions.

Review System Settings

Please review the following settings:

Scheduling & Shifts

  • Add any additional shift and absence types

Time & Attendance

Labour

  • Check to ensure your week start is correct

  • Ensure your Labour Contributions are set to either Shown or Hidden as you want

  • Toggle on Post Shift survey if you want this active for your staff

Location settings

Once you have sorted the company wide settings, you’ll then need to get the settings for each location.

Labour targets

  • Ensure your labour targets are set

Opening Hours

  • Amend your opening hours - this will help guide the forecast

Holiday settings

Departments, positions and stations

  • Check these are all correct

  • Add any additional ones needed

Clock in/out method

  • Choose your preferred clock in/clock out method

  • If using the Nory Team app, set the radius that staff will be able to clock in/out from

  • If using the Nory Kiosk app, set the toggle to on

Holiday balance and standard working hours

The day before your go-live you should:

  • Export current holiday balances and share these with your onboarding manager/customer success manager. These should be in hours for staff on hourly wages and in days for salaried employees

  • Add any pre-booked holidays into the system using the Absences table.

  • Share each employees Standard Day’s Working Hours with your onboarding manager/customer success manager so they can be updated in the system

Final Steps

Once all the above has been completed the last steps are:

  • Publish your first schedule

  • Invite each employee to Nory

  • Ensure all employees have downloaded the Nory Team app
