We make it very simple at Nory to allocate holidays to both your hourly and salaried employees.

Holiday settings

Holiday year start date & carryover policies

First, you can go on to your location's settings and during onboarding, for each location, you and your onboarding manager will set the holiday start year date, on which holiday entitlements will reset for all your employees.

You can then decide between several carry over policies:

  • No carryover

  • Unlimited carryover

  • Carryover with a limit of days.

Entitlements policy for hourly paid employees

Once that's set, you can then move on to defining the holiday entitlement policy for your hourly paid employees.

You can choose to cap entitlements for hourly paid employees by adding a maximum number of days they can accrue per holiday year.

For UK customers 🇬🇧

You can choose from two holiday accrual methods:

  • The calendar week method accrues 5.6 weeks per year automatically, based on each employee’s working week.

  • The 12.07% method accrues 12.07% of paid time off for every hour worked.

For Irish customers 🇮🇪

We automatically apply the 8% accrual method.

Entitlements policy for salaried employees

For salaried employees, you can choose their yearly entitlements in days, this will apply to all employees by default.

You have the option to adjust entitlements from each employee's profile if needed.
