Why add storage areas?

Adding a storage area will help to organise your count by only showing items that you expect to find in that area. For example:

If a storage area is created for the Bar Fridge. Only items that are stored in the bar fridge are allocated to this storage area i.e wine, beer, soft drinks etc.

When the bar fridge is being counted you only need to open the Bar Fridge storage area.

You will not need to scroll through a list of un-associated items.

Adding storage areas

Head to the Inventory setup section of Nory.

Click the Storage Areas tab.

To Create a new storage area click Add

Add the name of the storage area (add multiple areas by separating the name with a comma) and choose the location(s) that you wish the areas to be available in, click save.

๐Ÿ’กNory will collate the counts if items are in multiple storage areas. No need for manual calculations!

Allocating Items to Storage areas

Click the Items tab

Type the item name in the search bar.

Select the item from the list, and select assign storage.

Select the storage area from the drop down menu.

The Item is now assigned to the storage area. Click Save changes.

Counting in a storage area

When you have opened a count select the storage area from the drop down menu.

Only items assigned to that storage area will be available to count.
