Recipes are created to associate inventory usage with the sales from your POS

Creating a Recipe

Click on the inventory icon from the side bar.

Click on recipes in the menu bar.

Click on add recipe.

Give the recipe a name.

πŸ’‘ It is good practice to keep recipe names consistent with your menu and POS, it will make matching POS ID’s simpler.

Add the sales price.

Choose a recipe type.

The recipe type will determine whether the cost of the item forms part of the food or beverage GP, if your recipe combines items from food and beverage jump to Creating a Meal deal / discount recipe.

Add the ingredients, or batches and the quantity to make up the recipe.

The recipe cost and GP will now be displayed.

Click add recipe

The recipe can now be found in the menu recipes list and can be assigned to a POS ID so you can account for inventory as part of sales.

Creating a Meal deal / discount recipe

If a recipe comprises of both food and beverage items and you would like the sales to reflect across both channels.

Give the recipe a name.

Add the sales price.

Select Meal deal / discount from the drop down menu.

Add the Ingredients that will be used in the recipe (food and beverage).

Enter the % split that you would like the sales to be divided between food and beverage.

Click add recipe.

The recipe can now be found in the menu recipes list and can be assigned to a POS ID so you can account for inventory as part of sales.
