Use Nory to keep on top of your labour spend, track problem areas and drive labour performance.
Labour insights
Once logged in to Nory select labour from the insights section in your navigation sidebar.
If you have multiple locations you will see a snapshot of the labour performance by location.
Note: Sales data is updated throughout the day, so your labour results show in real time too.
Compare week on week
By default we will compare planned vs actual numbers. But you can choose to compare with a previous week that you would want to take as reference.
Single location view
Selecting location from the side navigation panel will leave the group view and show you the location’s labour performance in detail.
Daily view
Note: the daily insights will go from 4AM to 4AM (to cater for operators who open late at night)
💡 Pro tip: daily / weekly / monthly view
Use the daily view to break down spend per hour.
Use the weekly view to look at spend per day.
Use the monthly view for LFL comparisons and to highlight recurring trends.
Labour references
View the cost of labour as a % of sales, as a monetary value or as the number of hours used by selecting the options in the top right hand corner.
Drive your labour performance
Nory’s sales forecasts help you control labour spend and build smarter, more efficient schedules.
In the Schedule view, you’ll see:
Actual sales for past days
Forecasted sales for future days
displayed directly in the sales section.
If you need to adjust a sales forecast, simply click on the forecasted figure for the relevant day and enter your updated value.
The projected sales will appear alongside the relevant period in the schedule view.
Once you are satisfied with the current sales forecast for the week, you will see projected sales forecast next to the projected text for the relevant time period selected on the schedule.
As you add shifts to the schedule, the projected Cost of Labour (COL) updates automatically. You’ll see a clear visual indicator showing whether you are:
Green – under target
Amber – close to target
Red – over target
This is based on the labour targets set in your settings.
By clicking the Hours label under Sales, you can toggle between several key performance metrics:
Hours
SPLH
OPLH
Cost
COL %
💡 Best Practice:
Nory recommends using SPLH (Sales Per Labour Hour) as your primary week-on-week performance metric. Aim for small, consistent improvements in SPLH to steadily increase staffing efficiency and profitability over time.
