Adding new user

Navigate to Schedules & Workforce > People > Add Person

Once the side bar opens, you will need to enter new person's details,

Mandatory fields

  • Name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Home location - the main location they work at, if working at multiple locations, we will use this locations settings for annual leave setup. Additional locations can be added in the next stage.

  • Department - we use this to make scheduling and reporting clearer

  • Position - same as department but more granular, also used in reporting

  • Start date - date they started in the business

  • Date of birth

  • Wage - £ value

  • Wage type - salary/hourly/daily

Choosing the Permission level

You can choose from four main permission levels, we use this to create hierarchy and support correct level of visibility, appropriate for everyone's role.

  1. Employee - best for team members/crew

  2. Supervisor - users with access to some management features and reporting

  3. Location Manager - typically general managers/area managers

  4. Admin - office team or HQ admin *this allows visibility of all locations

You are only able to create users with the same or lower permission level as yours. More advanced permission can be set at the later stage, once the invite has been sent.

Once above details are completed you will be able to press Send Invite in the top right corner - this will send the email with instruction to create the account and download the Nory Team app.

Working in more than one location

If employee works in more than one location, we can add this once their profile has been created and invite sent.

Navigate to Schedules & Workforce > People > Select the employee > Role > Add Location

You can add any other locations this employee works at from the dropdown here.

More advanced permissions

We can control permissions on user by user basis. This means, beyond the four main ones we covered earlier we can adjust access to specific areas of Nory for individual users. This can be adjusted as soon as the invite has been sent.

You can learn about all permissions and how to adjust them in this article.
