Setting yourself up to use Demand-based Ordering

In order for demand based ordering to work and be accurate for your brand you will need to do the following:

Set up supplier rules

Supplier rules allows Nory to tell your teams when to order form which supplier and when to expect delivery.

Complete regular counts

Counting regularly and accurately will ensure your stock holding is up to date so Nory can predict order quantities accurately.

Enter waste

Keeping up to date with waste will provide accurate stock holding for Nory to predict order levels.

Make sure sales forecasts are in place

Those can be Nory AI forecasts or added manually by your managers.

Using Demand-Based Ordering

In the Nory IM app, select the supplier you wish to create an order from in the orders screen:

The earliest delivery date is shown at the top of the screen.

To choose an alternative delivery date click on the date and select the preferred date from the drop down calendar.

Beneath each item you will see predicted daily usage of that item by day.

The days labelled in green show there is enough current stock holding to cover the predicted demand for the day. Days labelled in red show that there is not enough of an item in stock to meet the predicted sales for that day:

๐Ÿ’กUsage is shown in the base unit of the product, whether that is each, g, ml, l, or kg.

Select any day and below the daily usage you will see details of predicted stock holding for that day and any expected deliveries.

Based on this information Nory will suggest an order to cover your daily usage for the next seven days. Click Add to cart to order this amount for your next delivery day.

Once the order is placed the predicted stock holding is updated and the forecast is updated:

๐Ÿ’กAn order will only be suggested if Nory predicts that you will need a delivery in the next 7 days.

If you are ordering a product that does not have a long enough shelf life you can select a day in the future to order up until and the order prediction will change to cover stock holding until that day only.

Complete the the order in the usual flow by clicking view shopping basket.
