Steps to update the availability and best practices
To update the employee availability navigate to Schedule & Workforce and navigate to the People tab
Search and click on the employee, employee records tab will open up. Select the availability tab. Update it as appropriate by entering the time they can start from or finish at on a specific day of the week. You can also tick the Not available box next to a specific day to specify this employee is not available on that day at any time.
After making the necessary updates, click on 'Save Changes' to apply the updates.
Common questions
If you don't see the employee availability when creating a schedule, click on the three dots in the top right corner and select Show employee availability. You need to do this from the schedule view. This will display availability for all employees.
If you are having issues using schedule templates this could be linked to employees availability not being updated. Nory will always respect the set availability and will not fill the shift with the employee if the full shift hours don't fall within the available hours.
