What is the Budgets feature in Nory?
Budgets lets you set and track sales, labour, and COGS targets directly in Nory — giving you a single source of truth across all locations.
Where do I find Budgets in Nory?
Click the Budgets tab in the top navigation bar. Start inputting your targets from there.
Why should I use Budgets instead of spreadsheets?
We see two use types of use cases:
Customers who create budgets in Excel, but use Nory as the source of truth to track budgets in order to avoid version confusion, communication mishaps & manual errors.
Customers who create and track budgets directly in Nory, using Nory's easy-to-use % growth rates and user-friendly UX/UI to transition the full budget process to Nory.
How do I add a budget for a location?
You can set sales, labour, and COGS targets, either weekly or monthly. To create a budget for a location, follow these 4 steps.
1. Navigate to your location's budget by clicking on 'Edit'
2. Edit your location's budget in a weekly or monthly view
3. Edit your location's budget in a weekly or monthly view.
For Sales, you can input growth rates on last year's sales or input values.
For COGs and COL, you can input % of sales or input values.
4. Save your budget
Don't forget to save your budget!
Can I switch between weekly and monthly views? Will the data stay consistent?
Yes, you toggle between weekly and monthly views anytime.
The data stays consistent and synced. Any input is distributed evenly across the days of the month. That’s what keeps the weekly and monthly views fully consistent, even when weeks span two months.
How do I control who can see or edit budgets?
Only admins can create or edit budgets by default. GMs can view budgets for the locations they’re assigned to.
To review who can create or edit budgets, go to the employee’s profile and open the Permissions tab to manage access.
Can I export or share the budget data?
Yes. Export to CSV or share a view via link.
Can I set daily budgets or by department?
Not yet — that’s on the roadmap.
