How to Record Waste in the Nory IM App
Accurately logging waste helps you understand where inventory losses occur and supports better stock control. Follow the steps below to record waste in the Nory IM app.
1. Navigate to the Waste Section
Go to Inventory.
Select Waste from the top of the screen.
2. Start a New Waste Log
Click Log Waste to begin a new entry.
3. Choose the Type of Item
You can log waste from:
All Items
Menu Items
Batch Items
Select the item from the list or use the search bar to find it by name.
4. Enter Waste Details
Input the quantity you are wasting.
Select a waste reason from the list.
Click Log Item to add it to the waste entry.
5. Continue Logging or Finalise
You can keep adding more waste items within the same entry, or
Click Continue, then Confirm, to finalise the waste log.
6. View Waste in Reports
Once confirmed, the waste entry will appear in:
Inventory Insights
Reconciliation Reports
This ensures your stock data stays accurate and up to date.
