Why should you record your waste?

πŸ’‘ Waste is an unavoidable part of running a food or drinks business. Accurately tracking waste will ensure that you know where your stock is going and highlight and work on problem areas you have in your business.

πŸ’‘ Recording waste will provide you with accurate results when looking at the variances in your inventory counts. It will also save you time spent on rechecking counts for stock that is not there.

πŸ’‘ Recording waste will help inform ordering trends and help streamline ordering to prevent additional waste.

Recording waste

Select the Inventory icon from the bottom bar.

Select waste from the menu bar.

Make sure you are in the right location.

Add a new waste entry by selecting log waste.

Use the search bar to find the item you want to record waste for. Select the item from the drop down list.

Enter the quantity wasted and choose a reason from the drop down menu.

Click Log item to log the waste entry.

You can now add more items to waste. You can also review the items logged as waste.

Once you have logged all waste items and reviewed your entries click continue to complete waste entry.
